I’m Alba, an artist based in London originally from Spain. My passion lies in life drawing, watercolour, and creating comics with humour, science fiction, and fantasy that address contemporary social and ecological issues.
I am the creator of the dystopian comic series Earth Blues, featuring independent stories that explore a future shaped by climate change, including titles like Salamanca Blues (2022) and my current project, Forehead Blues. I’ve self-published a couple of books featuring my life drawing work: one with sketches of passengers I’ve captured while traveling on the London Underground, and another filled with watercolour sketches from my visits to various cities in Europe.
As a collaborator, I recently illustrated the episodic story of Strontium Dog Winterkill (2025) written by Amanda Kear for the sci-fi British magazine Zarjaz, and the historical graphic novel A Tese de Margot (2025) in Spain, written by Óscar Losada.
My work has been recognized by Broken Frontier as one of their Six to Watch Artists in 2022, I was a finalist in the 2000 AD Thought Bubble Talent Search in 2024, and selected for the British Comics Now catalogue in 2025.

As an art educator, I coach young creatives for Adobe, and I work in higher education teaching risography and self-publishing.
